Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Vice President of Talent Acquisition on behalf of our client, a company that designs, distributes, and licenses men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, and fragrances. The VP of Talent Acquisition will lead the strategy, execution and optimization of the organization’s global recruitment efforts. This executive level role is responsible for building a world‑class candidate lifecycle experience, driving employer branding initiatives and ensuring the organization attracts, develops and retains high‑quality talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Lead the full candidate lifecycle, from sourcing and recruitment to onboarding, integration and career path planning.
- Build and execute employer branding initiatives across channels to ensure a compelling and consistent candidate experience.
- Inspire, lead and develop the talent acquisition team to deliver exceptional performance.
- Partner with business leaders to support hiring needs across functions, ensuring consistency in branding and experience.
- Educate and coach hiring managers on recruiting best practices and available talent pools.
- Promote diversity and inclusion in recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidates.
- Recruit for a wide range of roles across merchandising, planning, sourcing, e‑commerce, DTC, design, marketing, communications and retail.
- Define and implement talent acquisition KPIs to measure and improve performance.
- Collaborate with Talent Management to identify key talent gaps and build proactive pipelines.
- Oversee relationships with external recruitment firms and educational institutions to expand candidate pipelines.
- Monitor hiring and compensation trends to inform strategic planning and decision‑making.
- Partner with immigration counsel and relocation representatives to oversee visa sponsor ships and relocations.
- Manage applicant tracking systems (Taleo, Greenhouse, Linked In) and continuously improve recruiting processes.
- Oversee internship, university talent acquisition and temporary/consultant programs.
- Support ad hoc projects and organizational initiatives as required.
Requirements include:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years in talent acquisition roles with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven success leading teams within apparel, fashion, advertising or related industries preferred.
- Experience in global recruitment and exposure to international markets a plus.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build effective recruitment strategies that deliver high‑quality hires.
- Proficiency with ATS systems (Taleo, Greenhouse) and recruiting platforms such as Linked In.
Knowledge:
- In‑depth understanding of the retail fashion business and its unique hiring needs.
- Familiarity with visa sponsor ships, international relocation and employment compliance laws.
- Business acumen with experience in strategic workforce planning.
