Job SummaryAndaz Miami Beach is looking for Recreation Attendants who are excited, qualified, and hardworking, with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to superior guest service. Experience with Micros, high‑volume environments, and pool operations is beneficial but not required. In this role you will welcome and attend to guests, enforce safety rules, and manage pool equipment and facilities.
Duties & Functions- Set up umbrellas, loungers, and pool furniture; ensure the pool and facilities are clean and safe.
- Welcome guests, provide towels and refreshments, and attend to their requests, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Clear used towels, glasses, and trash, while monitoring guest activity and enforcing safety protocols.
- Report damages or incidents to the supervisor and manage pool cleaning schedules and inspections.
- Uphold company policies, including safety, sanitation, and attendance guidelines.
- Work as part of a team, maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional attitude at all times.
- Provide exceptional food and beverage service, listen to guests’ needs, and respond promptly.
- Ensure the proper handling of wine and alcohol and follow all safety procedures.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including side work and station setup, and participate in training sessions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least one year’s experience in the hospitality industry.
- Recent First Aid and CPR certification; if not, training will be provided.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Physically fit, good swimming abilities, and able to perform physical labor in harsh weather conditions.
- Ability to move and lift heavy furniture and equipment.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of pool equipment and safety measures.
