Pool Attendant
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Pay: $19.00/hr
Job OverviewThe Pool Attendant is responsible for overseeing the pool area, making safety announcements, and maintaining an inventory of all poolside equipment so it is always available for guest use. Experienced in the Hospitality Industry, serves residents by providing information and services.
Your Responsibilities- Oversee pool area (adult/children) and make safety announcements.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down for poolside activities as needed.
- Submit and report incidents to the appropriate manager.
- Provide customer‑service orientation.
- Pick up debris from the pool and possess basic cleaning skills.
- Check sports equipment to ensure it is in order for guests to use.
- Report broken sports equipment to the manager for replacement ordering.
- Work effectively as a team member.
- Be accessible to and approachable toward residents/guests.
- Familiarize with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for the position.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred; completion of college‑level courses in Hospitality strongly desirable.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Multiple language fluency desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods.
- Walk and climb stairs; handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of spoken and written words.
- Navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet job functions.
- Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
