Location

The Elser Hotel & Residences is a 49‑story luxury condominium hotel located in Downtown Miami. The newly completed tower offers 646 fully furnished rooms and residences, over 19,000 sq ft of curated amenities and 5,000 sq ft of prime retail space.

Overview

The Barback is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper stock behind the bar, as well as ensuring the best‑in‑class guest experience. They assist the bar staff in keeping the bar organized for an efficient flow of service throughout their shift. This position is expected to work Thursday through Sunday.

Responsibilities
  • Request, pick, verify and put away all requisitions for liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas.
  • Stock the bar areas with liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, glassware and condiments.
  • Develop a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.
  • Ensure that all opening and closing duties are completed.
  • Adopt a positive approach in dealing with guest issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Attend to customer needs with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Operate and maintain bar equipment and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
  • One year of previous experience in a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Evening shift availability.
  • Adequate communication skills: must be able to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
  • Patient in dealing with guests.
