Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting a Pool & Recreations Supervisor to join the hotel’s team. The property boasts 287 guestrooms, including 64 suites, and features two pools, a Beach Club, and a full‑service spa.
Job SummaryThe Pool & Recreations Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the pool and beach staff during a specific shift, ensuring efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and a positive experience.
Duties & Functions- Oversee and guide the performance of the pool and beach staff during the assigned shift.
- Provide training, coaching, and feedback to ensure high‑quality service standards.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Monitor cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Interact with customers, gathering feedback and addressing complaints.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food order preparation.
- Monitor inventory levels, track supply usage, and place orders.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with other managers and the restaurant owner to improve operational efficiency.
- Create shift schedules considering employee availability.
- Monitor attendance and punctuality.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Conduct cash register audits.
- Uphold company policies and safety protocols.
- Ensure proper labeling, dating, and rotating perishable items behind the bar.
- Provide professional, friendly, personalized service to guests.
- Listen to guests and anticipate their needs.
- Properly execute closing procedures.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the restaurant industry preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of restaurant operations and safety regulations.
- Exceptional problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software, POS systems, and related tools.
