Multi-modality radiology technologist performs high‑quality imaging in designated modalities safely and efficiently. Rotates through general imaging modalities, performs portable radiography, operates complex equipment for breast and other structures, and assists in breast biopsy procedures.

Responsibilities- Supervise technologist and ancillary personnel in diagnostic procedures under or with the supervisor.
- Assist subordinate personnel with routine duties, cleaning, maintenance, and patient transportation.
- Accountable for general radiology, diagnostic/interventional, neuro‑interventional, post‑processing, exam completion, charging, and PACS transmission.
- Compute technical factors for each patient to ensure proper image detail and density, using automatic exposure control to minimize dose.
- Operate advanced modality equipment with emphasis on image quality at the lowest possible dose.
- Perform procedures with sterile technique and assist physicians during advanced interventional procedures.
- Obtain and document lab results and provide radiation protection per safety standards.
- Receive on‑job training, attend in‑service programs, and learn new equipment/techniques.
- Act as preceptor for new trainees in primary or advanced imaging modalities.
- Comply with safety rules, regulations, departmental and hospital protocols.
- Promote service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Expertise).
Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.
EducationGraduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program with additional MR training.
Skills- Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and composure.
- Follow instructions and use job‑appropriate technology and software.
- Maintain current unit‑specific and organizational certifications/compliances.
Employees hired before 02/01/2017 must obtain ARDMS/ARRT certification by 12/31/2017. Employees hired after 02/01/2017 must obtain required certification within six months of hire. New hires with external training must hold certification rican Heart Association BLS and additional life‑support certification are required upon hire.
