Are you passionate about helping others, delivering exceptional service, and supporting patients in a healthcare environment? We’re looking for a warm, professional, and detail‑oriented OTC Clerk who will serve as the friendly voice and trusted support for our Leon Medical Centers patient community.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in creating positive experiences by processing OTC orders, assisting callers with care and professionalism, and ensuring every patient feels heard, valued, and supported.

What You’ll Do

As a vital member of our OTC team, you will:

  • Provide excellent service to callers, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Show genuine concern for patients’ needs, offering comfort and demonstrating professional, well‑trained support.
  • Handle irate callers with empathy, apologize when needed, and take immediate steps to resolve issues.
  • Escalate patient concerns regarding missed deliveries following established protocols.
  • Enter OTC orders into the pharmacy application accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear the complete uniform during work hours.
  • Demonstrate courtesy and politeness to patients, visitors, and employees at all times.
  • Maintain open communication with center administration and other departments; answer all inquiries professionally.
  • Participate in required training, in‑service education, department and clinic meetings.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Someone who embodies:

  • Strong communication skills (written, in‑person, and by phone).
  • Excellent customer service and the ability to help resolve complaints professionally.
  • Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to build warm interactions.
  • Attentive listening to fully understand patient needs.
  • Patience, especially when supporting elderly callers.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills to quickly determine solutions to patient concerns.
  • One (1) year of customer service experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting.
Language Requirements

Bilingual English/Spanish required (You’ll be supporting a diverse patient community—your bilingual skills truly make a difference!)

Education

High School Diploma required.
