Description

Prepares, organizes and monitors the sterile field environment under the direction of a surgeon and a registered nurse for assigned surgical cases/deliveries. Provides assistance to the surgeon/physician and registered nurse as directed. Estimated pay range for this position is $37.24 - $45.62 / hour depending on experience.

Degrees:

• High School or GED

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support.

Additional Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program Preferred.
• AST Certification preferred or extensive experience (2 years preferred) in one of the following specialties:
  Open Heart, Neurosurgery, or Hepatobiliary.
• For Open Heart, Neurosurgery, and Hepatobiliary, validated training and competency endorsed by the Director of Surgery and the specialty Chief is required.
• Work experience preferred.
• Or is a lead surgical technologist for a service line - endorsed by the Directory of Surgery.
