The University of Miami UHealth Department of Imaging Services has an exciting opportunity for a part‑time MRI Technologist Level II. The incumbent is responsible for performing complex procedures in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) through the operations of the MRI equipment to obtain the highest quality of diagnostic images. Independent judgment:outline, ingenuity and initiative are essential to identify and compensate for imaging artifacts and evaluate image quality by troubleshooting scanner or coil problems and scan parameters.
COREJOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs all duties of Level I & II technologist.
- Supervises imaging services, including performance or supervision of tests, and daily management of assigned personnel.
- Assists in compilation of statistical data for departmental evaluation purposes.
- Contributions to the preparation of the annual departmental budget and development of administrative and operational policies, adoption of procedural standards.
- Responsible for hire, discipline, and promotion of department staff.
- Obtains and examines the diagnostic orders for appropriateness to the type of exam ordered and any special notes or comments.
- Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
- Collaborates in the development of in‑service training for departmental staff.
- Completes yearly performance appraisals for the staff and handles requests for merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

CORE QUALIFICATIONSEducation Internacionaler: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology / Diagnostic Imaging Program.
Certification and Licensing: Must possess a valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer. ARRT registered with ARRT certification in MRI. CPR and BLS certification required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
