The job includes, but is not limited to, specimen reception and inspection, entering data into the reporting system, recording incidences, receiving/recording consumables, receiving, cleaning and assembling kit components, and supporting US & LATAM operations.
Location: On‑site only
Employment type: Full‑time
Responsibilities- Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and maintain records of patient test results.
- Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies and procedures.
- Assemble and/or disassemble kit trays and materials as needed.
- Keep the sample receiving area clean and orderly.
- Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance and correct them.
- Document all corrective actions when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.
- Provide assistance to Laboratory Technologists as needed.
- Handle documentation requirements, including outsourcing and overseeing the sample reception area.
- Provide administrative support to the laboratory team.
- Ensure accuracy and proof‑read company documentation before registering data in the software.
- Enter and update client data using the proper software.
- Register non‑conformities related to pre‑analytical steps.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- More than 1 year of experience in a similar role in a laboratory.
