We are looking for a Helpline Counselor / Care Coordinator to provide telephone-based crisis support, referrals, and advocacy. This role ensures clients receive the services they need, offering crisis counseling, suicide intervention, system navigation, and follow‑up care.
Key Responsibilities- Answer helpline calls and provide information, referrals, and crisis counseling.
- Conduct suicide assessments, safety planning, and follow‑up with at‑risk clients.
- Advocate for clients to access community, federal, and private resources.
- Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and client databases.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and community outreach.
- Support disaster relief efforts and special projects as needed.
- Strong crisis intervention and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high service standards.
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork.
- Eligible for training and certification as Information & Referral Specialist and Crisis Specialist.
