The Respiratory Care/Therapy Adjunct teaches courses in the lecture, laboratory and/or clinical setting.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

• Provides instruction in Respiratory Care/Therapy courses
• Evaluates and advises students
• Develops curricula
• Recruits students
• Serves on committees
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in any field and Associate's degree in Respiratory Care; and National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential; and Valid State of Florida Respiratory Therapist licensure; and 3 years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in field.
• All degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
• Must possess basic computer skills
