As a DSP, you will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL) to support our pharmacy teams. You will be accountable for supporting the management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy and pharmacy team in stores throughout the district.

• Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled; oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and guiding the pharmacy team to do the same; collaborate with the patient’s healthcare team and proactively resolve insurance or medication issues.
• Offer and deliver immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization techniques.
• Support inventory management with emphasis on protecting cold chain products; follow inventory best practices across pharmacies worked.
• Maintain flexibility for scheduling and business needs; contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment.
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, complete required trainings and CMEs, and pursue opportunities to expand knowledge to support patients.
• Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care (e.g., testing and prescribing services where permissible); empower the team to provide holistic care.
• Understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and CVS Health policies; maintain patient privacy and a safe workplace.

• 1–2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
