Registered Nurse, Med Surg/Tele - Tower 1, Full Time, Days Shift
Job
Join North Shore Medical Center in a full‑time day shift as a Registered Nurse. Provide continuous, physician‑directed care with RN supervision.

- Establish effective relationships and advocate with patients, families, and significant others to facilitate individualized care planning.
- Apply the nursing process: assess patients, determine diagnoses, identify expected outcomes, implement interventions, evaluate results.
- Develop assessment and management strategies based on physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure dimensions.
- Coordinate and collaborate with inter‑professional team, patients, families for culturally sensitive, ethical, legal, holistic care.
- Educate patients, families, and significant others about measures to promote, maintain, and restore health or comfort.
- Mentor and model professional behavior for colleagues, students, and others.
- Apply evidence‑based practice and scientific knowledge appropriate to patients’ age‑specific and clinical needs.
- Maintain constant state of alertness and perform duties safely.
- Perform point‑of‑care testing per policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current Florida RN License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Basic arrhythmia skills.
- Completion of a telemetry/critical care course preferred.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Constant use of speech for oral communication.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects weighing 0‑25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use, and data entry.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for near and far distances and color discrimination.
- Frequent use of smell to detect odors.
- Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication and identify alarms or machinery noises.
- Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects weighing 25‑50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Must be able to pass background and drug‑test screenings.
