Laboratory Technician for a prominent clientofours.

Job Description:

** 100% ONSITE:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm**

• OVERVIEW
  • Seeking a dedicated and motivated individual with strong attention to detail and organization to join our research and development team as the laboratory technician!
  • This position requires a person who has some knowledge of laboratory duties and/or biological sciences.
  • The candidate will perform comprehensive clinical laboratory procedures of low and high complexity as directed by the laboratory manager.
  • General responsibilities include maintenance of laboratory equipment, data entry, maintenance of laboratory records including quality control, instrument logs, and inventory of reagents and supplies.
• CORE FUNCTIONS
  • Perform preparation of reagents and controls
  • Perform daily and weekly maintenance of equipment per SOPs (standard operating procedures) and any other applicable documentation
  • Maintain laboratory and equipment clean and functional (On the job training will be provided)
  • Perform all tasks related to clinical sample testing (blood, urine), including sample receipt, log-in, sample preparation and testing, recording test results, and disposing of samples
  • Organize stock and maintains inventory; order stock as needed
  • Adhere to existing safety standards and help improve laboratory safety practices whenever possible
  • Provide support to direct and extended R&D team as necessary

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • AS (3+ years pro lab) or BS (open to academic laboratory experience)
  • Laboratory experience
  • Life science background (chemistry, biology, biochemistry)
  • Equipment maintenance
• HIGHLY Preferred:
  • Medical/Clinical Lab
  • Urine Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Inventory management

Compensation: $20 per hour
