OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Bilingual Admissions & Intake Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of patient admissions, including demographic data collection and insurance verification. As the first point of contact for many patients—particularly Spanish‑speaking individuals—you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive, compassionate, and efficient intake experience.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage the patient admissions process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collect, verify, and input patient demographics and insurance information into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Conduct insurance eligibility checks and authorization verifications prior to services.
- Assist patients in completing required forms and documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, facilitating accurate and compassionate communication.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to promptly resolve eligibility or authorization issues.
- Maintain a professional, empathetic, and patient‑centered approach in all interactions.
- Language
Skills:
Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written). - Experience: Minimum of 2 years in insurance verification, eligibility checks, or admissions in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare regulations.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficient in EMR systems and insurance verification portals. - Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Problem‑Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Team Player: Works effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced healthcare environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish to serve Miami’s diverse patient population.
- Familiarity with multilingual or multicultural healthcare environment.
- Previous experience in similar healthcare departments.
- Primarily an office‑based role with frequent computer and phone use.
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.

Job Types: Full‑time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
