Lead Histo Technologist, Histology & Cytology – Baptist Health (Full Time, 8:00 A‑4:30 P, $20 k Sign‑On Bonus)

Provides day‑to‑day supervision to maximize efficiency, quality and productivity of the histology and cytology section.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising specimen preparation, cutting, staining and special test performance by technologists.
• Assigning and monitoring work to maximize efficiency and avoid overtime.
• Ensuring coverage for calls and communicating clearly with the Pathologist.
• Managing workflow to meet turnaround time goals.
• Monitoring specimen handling and identification, coordinating with pathologists on quality of slides/stains, and implementing corrective actions.
• Documenting corrective actions and problem resolution, identifying instrument or procedural issues, and taking appropriate action.

Estimated pay range: $36.16‑$47.01 per hour, depending on experience.

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED, certification, or training acceptable).
• Clinical Laboratory Supervisor or Clinical Laboratory Technologist license.
• Laboratory and supervisory experience.
• TN – Clinical Laboratory Technologist or SU – Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Minimum required experience: 5 years.
