Position: Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist, Full-Time

** Shift: Full-Time - (40 hrs. M-F) Days (depending on availability) (Occasional on-call and rotating weekends may be required)

* Required Qualifications:

*** CT and MRI experience and certification required.
* Minimum of three years of cardiac tomographic imaging experience required.
* Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
* Proficiency in the use of specialized image processing software and other PACS systems is required.
* Ability to troubleshoot and work effectively with IT personnel is required.
* Demonstrated ability for problem-solving and decision-making required.
* Effective communication and writing skills required.
* Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate the work of other personnel involved in cardiac imaging required.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023, or later).
* Current CT or MRI certification required.

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Public speaking experience preferred.
* Ability to travel locally and regionally preferred.
** CORE QUALIFICATIONS
*** Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
* Proficiency in the use of specialized image processing software and other PACS systems is required.
* The ability to troubleshoot and work effectively with IT personnel is required.
* Demonstrated ability for problem-solving and decision-making required.
* Communicate with patients in anticipation of their test (as needed). Assist with patient screening (MRI)
* Effective communication and writing skills required.
* Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate the work of other personnel involved in cardiac imaging required. Optimizes scanning protocols of patients. Check quality of scans while the patient is on the scanner.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program.
*
* Education:

** Associate degree (AS or AA) or higher in the relevant field.
** Certification and Licensing:
** Florida DOH License, and ARRT (CT) and (MRI) or equivalent certification.
*
* Experience:

*** Minimum of 5 years of CT and MRI cardiac tomographic imaging experience.
* Current CT or MRI certification required.
* Minimum 3 years of lead, charge or relevant experience in CT and MRI environments.
** Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
*** Ability to review goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
* Ability to travel locally within the enterprise.
* Ability to review and understand operations of various departments.
* Ability to mentor, motivate, develop, and train others.
* Knowledge of use Microsoft Office elements such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Public speaking experience preferred.
** DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM
**** Department Specific Functions
** Abide by hospital/department HR policies. Adheres to any regulatory body guidelines governing modality including but not limited to:
Joint Commission, AHCA, ACR, FL DOH. Obtains and examines the order for a scan to be aware of information such as procedures requested, patient’s condition and any other special notes or comments. Ensures that orders are appropriate to the type of exam recommended by physician.  Notifies supervisor of any discrepancies and/or contacts physician’s office for correct orders if necessary. Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
