Under the direct supervision of a licensed, clinical audiologist, the Audiology Extern assesses and performs habilitation/rehabilitation of individuals with auditory and vestibular disorders, prevention of hearing loss, and research in normal and disordered auditory and vestibular function.

Essential Job Functions:

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed, clinical audiologist, identifies, evaluates, and assists in habilitate/rehabilitate of individuals with either peripheral or central auditory impairments as well as vestibular impairments and strives to prevent such impairments.
• Provides information on hearing, hearing loss and disability, prevention of hearing loss, and rehabilitation to business and industry. Assists in the development and oversight of hearing screening programs to detect individuals with hearing loss of all ages.

Required Education and Experience:

• Completing a BA/BS in an Audiology Program
• One year clinical site requirement required for licensure
