Duties
* Coordinate with components, subordinate joint and joint interagency task forces, and United States Country Teams to develop operational resource requirements to achieve command objectives for the interdiction and disruption of illicit trafficking.
* Provide oversight and support to regional air sovereignty operations and programs within the Area of Responsibility and the Host Nation Rider Escort (HNRE) program.
* Ensure compliance with DoD directives governing the planned deployment of forces in support of Counter Drug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime operations to include review/validation of Deployment Orders, Planning Orders, and Execution Orders.
* Develop new methods and procedures in order to solve difficult and complex problems and assignments, and make decisions that develop and establish Counter Drug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CD/CTOC) operations.
* Prepare directorate summaries and information papers for the Combatant Commander, Military Deputy Commander, and the Director of Operations.
* Prepare the operating budget for leadership approval using general budget guidance memorandums, branch input, and historical data. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires a TOP SECRET Security Clearance/Investigation.
* This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
* This position requires travel away from the duty station up to 20% of the time.
* Required to deploy within the USSOUTHCOM AOR on short notice (in under 24 hours) by multiple means of ground and air transportation, as directed by Commander USSOUTHCOM.
* Infrequent international travel required, occasionally to an austere environment where the incumbent will be expected to function in adverse climatic conditions.
* This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
* Participation in the Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of the Army (DA) Immunization program to include live vaccinations as required by DoD/DA policy. Qualifications Who May Apply:
