Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Global Career Advisors is recruiting a hands-on Spanish Speaking Controller for a 40+ year B2B distributor serving the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean (chemicals + packaging into household cleaning, food & beverage, personal care, cosmetics).

We’re hiring a hands-on Controller to own day-to-day accounting and financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and build a scalable finance foundation to support acquisition-driven growth. This role is ideal for a Controller who thrives in a lean environment, partners closely with ownership, and can drive disciplined execution across close, reporting, inventory accounting, and working capital.

• On-site, 5 days/week
  (no hybrid/remote)
• Miami area
• Base salary: up to $170,000K
• Bonus: 10% annual
• PTO: 3 weeks

• Own the monthly close process, ensuring timely, accurate financial statements and reconciliations
• Oversee general ledger integrity, journal entries, accruals, and account analysis
• Maintain consistent close cadence and continuously improve processes for speed/accuracy
• Prepare monthly management reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and provide clear variance explanations
• Build and maintain reporting packages and dashboards for ownership/leadership
• Support budget/forecast efforts and improve financial visibility across the business

• Maintain accurate inventory accounting and cost-of-goods reporting
• Strengthen controls around purchasing/receiving, inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and reserves
• Partner with operations to improve data accuracy and margin visibility

• Serve as a key finance owner for Net Suite (or comparable ERP), driving reporting, controls, and workflow improvements
• Improve processes through automation, SOPs, and standardization
• Lead and develop a small accounting team (currently 2 in accounting)
• Set expectations, improve accountability, and elevate output quality without adding unnecessary complexity

• Coordinate with external accountants/tax providers, auditors, and banking partners as needed
• Ensure compliance and audit readiness

• Fluent Spanish and strong professional English communication
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience, including Controller / Assistant Controller level responsibilities
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, B2B, CPG, cosmetics, food & beverage, chemicals, packaging
  , or similar inventory-driven environments
• Strong month-end close ownership and ability to operate hands-on in a lean team
• ERP experience required (
  Net Suite preferred
  ; other major ERPs acceptable)

• Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or multi-entity environments
• CPA strongly preferred but not required with strong relevant experience
• Strong working capital discipline (AR/AP, cash forecasting)
• Your background is primarily in healthcare, real estate, or financial services with limited inventory/COGS exposure
• You are not open to on-site 5 days/week in Doral
