Vice President Finance

Fanbasis is looking to bring on a VP Finance to lead the entire Finance function. This person will be responsible for the financial controls, FP&A and effective revenue accounting of the company. The VP Finance will serve as a key thought leader to the leadership team on all financial matters. The VP Finance will report directly to the Founder & CEO.

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the Company’s finance function including accounting, FP&A, investor relations, working capital/cash management as well as compliance matters, strategic planning, product pricing and effective revenue accounting
• Proactively flag to other functional leaders and the CEO opportunities for P&L optimization and frameworks for measuring ROI on growth initiatives
• Own investor relations and board material preparation alongside the CEO
• Analyze complex financial data and present findings to various stakeholders
• Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee day-to-day financial and accounting operations including cash flow management, AR, AP, Payroll.
• Implement effective billing and receivables processes, ensuring billing timeliness and accuracy, effective revenue recognition, no revenue leakage, and effective debt handling
• Lead (in partnership with the Controller) the entire audit process, including managing relationships with outside auditors and generating audited financial statements

• 8–12 years of finance experience, with meaningful time at a high-growth startup or venture-backed company
• Deep FP&A background — you've owned complex models end-to-end, not just maintained them
• Has personally led or been deeply embedded in an external audit
• High-trust, low-ego operator who communicates financials clearly to non-finance stakeholders

• Exposure to payments, fintech, marketplace economics, or platform business models
