Fund Accounting Manager

Overview

We are seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join our client's team! A Fund Accounting Manager oversees the daily operations, accurate NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations, and financial reporting for investment funds, such as private equity or hedge funds. They manage accounting teams, ensure regulatory compliance, handle investor reporting, and coordinate audits.

• NAV Calculation & Review: Calculate, review, and finalize monthly/daily NAVs, including income accruals, expense processing, and portfolio valuation.
• Financial Reporting & Audit: Prepare and review financial statements (GAAP/IFRS) and assist in the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and review the work of senior and staff accountants, fostering team development.
• Investor Services: Review capital calls, distributions, and partner capital account statements, ensuring accuracy for investors.
• Compliance & Controls: Maintain internal controls, ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., SEC/SBA), and implement process improvements.
• Client Relationship Management: Act as a liaison with portfolio managers, investors, and third-party administrators.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Experience: 3–7 years of experience in fund accounting, with a preference for private equity, venture capital, or hedge fund industry expertise.
