Accounting Manager

YZY has partnered with Boyne Capital, a Miami, FL-based Private Equity firm that seeks to forge lasting and collaborative relationships with companies and support them in achieving their next phase of growth.

Reporting to the CFO, this is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership, including the private equity sponsor, external auditors, and lenders. The position is intentionally hands‑on and operational in nature—this is not a narrow, review‑only role—providing the opportunity to own core accounting processes end to end while helping establish scalable infrastructure and controls. As the business continues to grow, this individual will play a key role in building the accounting function from the ground up, partnering closely with the CFO to design processes, implement systems, and support a more robust, accrual‑based financial environment.

• Own the end‑to‑end monthly close process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, and preparation of monthly financial statements with variance analysis.
• Manage core transactional accounting functions across AP, AR, payroll, and treasury, ensuring timely processing, accurate reconciliations, and strong controls over cash disbursements and receipts.
• Own inventory accounting controls, including reconciling reported inventory to WMS/ERP data and physical counts; ensure adherence to standard costing and investigate/resolve significant inventory variances.
• Oversee cash management and liquidity tracking, maintaining visibility into cash balances, and implementing controls around bank activity and payment processes.
• Lead the transition to accrual‑based accounting, establishing policies, procedures, and documentation to support accurate and scalable financial reporting.
• Play a key role in ERP implementation, including chart of accounts design, process mapping, and partnering with the CFO to identify and remediate process and control gaps.
• Support cross‑functional and ad‑hoc finance projects as the business scales, driving improvements in efficiency, controls, and financial insight.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting
• Willing and able to be on‑site

• Experience at beauty/CPG/or business with inventory & SKU’s
