Requires community banking related experience in Miami, FL

An established financial institution has an opening for an experienced Commercial Lender to support growth in the Miami market. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven lender who thrives in a community-focused banking environment and can independently originate, structure, and manage commercial loan relationships. The successful candidate will bring strong market knowledge, disciplined credit judgment, and the ability to build long-term client relationships within the local business community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate, structure, and manage commercial loan relationships in the Miami market
  • Develop new business through networking, community involvement, and professional referrals
  • Build and maintain a high-quality commercial loan portfolio
  • Analyze borrower financials and structure appropriate credit solutions
  • Prepare loan presentations and partner with credit and underwriting teams through approval
  • Maintain strong relationships with business owners, CPAs, attorneys, and other COIs
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Represent the institution professionally within the local business and cultural community

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Lender in a banking environment
  • Strong knowledge of and established relationships within the Brazilian market and community
  • Background at a small to mid-sized financial institution, or interest in a platform with reasonable accountability and attainable expectations
  • Comfortable operating within defined lending limits per transaction
  • Highly professional with strong relationship-building and business development skills
  • Demonstrated commitment, integrity, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to independently grow and manage a commercial loan portfolio
