The Asset Management & Servicing Associate is a full-time employment opportunity at 3650 Capital headquarters in Miami, FL. This role involves frequent communication with borrowers, analyzing financial statements, reviewing legal documentation, and preparing comprehensive reports on outstanding assets. The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter with strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, keen attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for servicing and credit administration of an assigned commercial real estate loan portfolio, ensuring strong client service and portfolio performance.
- Independently manage daily responsibilities, including borrower communication, loan servicing and portfolio management
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis and credit risk assessments, including cash flow, collateral performance, guarantor strength, and covenant compliance.
- Identify and escalate emerging credit issues or policy exceptions, providing clear analysis and recommendations to management.
- Maintain organized workflows, accurate documentation of client interactions, and timely completion of all assigned tasks.
- Prepare approval recommendations for borrower requests such as reserve disbursements, post-closing obligations, property management changes, loan assumptions, franchise changes, equity changes, and lease approvals in compliance with loan documents.
- Complete property and loan valuations using proprietary models under the guidance of senior team members.
- Conduct local market research and analysis to support asset management decisions.
- Coordinate with third-party consultants, including attorneys, receivers, management/leasing companies, appraisers, environmental engineers, and surveyors.
- Analyze property operating performance through review of financial statements, rent rolls, STR reports, and property budgets.
- Prepare financial analyses, including debt service coverage ratio, debt yield calculations, and tenant roll reviews.
- Conduct comparative lease analyses to evaluate proposed deals against underwritten financials.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects as needed.
- 2-4 year's experience in Loan Asset Management in commercial real estate preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance, accounting or real estate
- Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks simultaneously under strict deadlines and produce high quality work requiring minimal revisions
- Understanding of commercial real estate, real estate terminology, and CRE finance
- Understanding of real estate markets and asset valuations
- Experience in managing CMBS loans
- Ability to work effectively as part of a large team
- Outstanding financial, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills with a strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis; experience with other Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
