A large, SEC-registered investment advisor is seeking a Research Analyst to join its growing investment team in Miami. This role is well suited for a candidate with a strong foundation in investment banking or private equity who is looking to transition into a long-term, fundamentals-driven investment role with exposure to both public and private markets.

The Research Analyst will work closely with Portfolio Managers and senior investment professionals, supporting investment decisions across multiple asset classes while also responding to client-driven research needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research across asset classes, including investment-grade and high-yield fixed income, public equities, and private investment opportunities.
  • Analyze private investments such as fund investments, co-investments, and select direct investments, including real estate.
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and detailed investment memoranda.
  • Perform sector-level and company-specific research across a wide range of industries.
  • Support Portfolio Managers with ad hoc research requests and investment analysis.
  • Assist with due diligence on new investment opportunities and ongoing monitoring of existing portfolio holdings.
  • Contribute to client-related research initiatives, including custom analyses and presentation materials.
Qualifications
  • Approximately 4+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a closely related investment role.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience analyzing public securities and/or private investments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, intellectually curious, and comfortable working across asset classes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
