Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Accounting with a strong background in operational accounting and a deep understanding of US GAAP. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in a large public accounting firm, along with 3-5 years in a corporate setting outside of public accounting. The ideal candidate will have life sciences or manufacturing industry experience (preferred not mandatory), excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities with a hands-on, proactive approach.
A CPA certification and experience in managing accounts payable teams are preferred.

- Applying extensive knowledge of US GAAP to support accurate financial reporting, working closely with auditors and providing technical accounting guidance to the Finance and Accounting team.
- Collaborating with the Controller to produce timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including disclosures and supporting schedules.
- Reviewing and enhancing the internal control environment, identifying control gaps, and working with relevant departments to implement necessary modifications.
- Overseeing the procure-to-pay process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in operations, acting as a key decision-maker for finance-related inquiries.
- Leading accounts payable staff, providing guidance, performance feedback, and ensuring seamless daily operations.
- Analyzing current and future spending to support budget and projection processes, offering technical insights to aid financial planning.
- Supporting external audits by preparing schedules and analyses, ensuring an efficient audit process.
- Taking on special projects and other responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the team with a flexible, hands-on approach.
