Role:

The Bookkeeper/Controller is the financial architect behind Guerra Wealth Advisors' operational excellence. You'll oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, and payroll for our RIA, ensuring accurate financial records and strategic insights that drive informed business decisions.

This role is perfect for someone with 3–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in financial services or RIA environments), strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to financial management. You'll work closely with leadership to maintain financial integrity, optimize processes, and support the firm's continued growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage full‑cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for leadership review.
  • Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration tracking, and commission calculations.
  • Ensure RIA regulatory compliance including ADV filings, fee billing reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and expense management to support strategic planning.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts monthly.
  • Coordinate with external CPAs for tax preparation and annual audits.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard firm assets.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms for cost efficiency.
  • Track and report on key financial metrics and KPIs for business performance.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Assist with special projects, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current on accounting standards, tax regulations, and RIA compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience (RIA or financial services experience strongly preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Experience with financial advisory billing systems and custodian platforms (a plus).
  • Strong understanding of RIA compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Spreadsheet skills and comfort with financial reporting tools.
  • Detail‑oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • CPA or pursuit of CPA certification is a plus.

Compensation:

$70,000–$95,000 Annually (Based on experience and qualifications)
