About the Role
We are seeking motivated and experienced Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional with a strong understanding of mortgage products, compliance, and customer service. You will work directly with borrowers to originate, structure, and close residential mortgage loans while maintaining full compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities- Originate and manage a pipeline of residential mortgage loans from application through closing.
- Advise clients on mortgage options including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-QM programs.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal lending laws, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, and HMDA.
- Gather and analyze financial information such as credit reports, income documentation, and assets to determine loan eligibility.
- Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process.
- Build and maintain strong referral relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral partners.
- Must hold a valid NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator license.
- Must be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) in the state(s) where you intend to originate loans.
- Must complete all SAFE Act education and testing requirements (Federal and State).
- Must have a unique NMLS good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience (retail, wholesale, or correspondent).
- Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and Non-QM guidelines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, and tech‑savvy with LOS/CRM systems (Encompass, ARIVE, etc.).
- Proven ability to meet or exceed production goals.
- Competitive commission‑based pay (basis points per closed loan).
- Volume bonuses and production incentives.
- Marketing and lead support may be available depending on experience and production level.
- If licensed in the State of Florida, this position is paid on a 1099 independent contractor basis.
- For all other states, compensation structure may vary based on licensing and employment classification.
- Active licenses in multiple states.
- Existing referral network or client database.
- Experience with wholesale or correspondent lending channels.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and disclosure timelines.
