The Relationship Management Support Officer (RMSO) provides operational, administrative, and client-service support to Relationship Managers (RMs) to ensure high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and efficient portfolio management. This role acts as a key liaison between clients, Relationship Managers, and internal departments to support onboarding, account maintenance, credit documentation, and ongoing relationship servicing.
Key Responsibilities Client & Relationship Support:- Serve as a primary support contact for Relationship Managers and assigned client portfolios
- Assist with client onboarding, account opening, and maintenance requests
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner
- Coordinate client documentation requests and follow up to ensure completeness
- Prepare and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist with loan documentation, renewals, covenant tracking, and credit file maintenance
- Support deposit, treasury, and cash management product setup and servicing
- Monitor and track relationship tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
- Ensure adherence to all applicable banking regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., KYC, BSA/AML, OFAC, UDAAP)
- Support periodic reviews, audits, and regulatory exams as needed
- Identify and elevate potential risk or compliance issues to Relationship Managers or management
- Collaborate with Credit Administration, Operations, Treasury Management, Compliance, and Deposit Operations
- Facilitate internal communication to resolve client issues efficiently
- Support Relationship Managers in preparing materials for credit committees, client reviews, and portfolio analysis
- Assist with portfolio reporting, pipeline tracking and data integrity
- Maintain CRM systems and ensure accurate client and relationship data
- Support portfolio monitoring for exceptions, documentation gaps, and servicing needs
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in banking, relationship support, loan operations, or financial services
- Experience supporting commercial, business, or private banking relationships preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking systems (core, CRM, loan platforms)
