Director of Accounting – LATAM International Networks & Direct-to-Consumer

We are looking for an experienced accounting director to support the continued growth across Latin America. In this role you will manage the entire accounting function for multiple LATAM entities, ensuring accuracy of financial results, driving operational excellence, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders (Opco leads, local accounting teams, International Networks Group Controller, Corporate Finance, Tax, Treasury, Revenue Accounting, Finance Operations, outsource partners).
    • Supervise external accounting firms to meet internal deadlines & tax compliance.
    • Maintain communication channels with vendors, customers, local agencies, and third parties.
    • Drive the evolution & execution of country‑specific accounting strategy aligned with business needs.
    • Build and coach a high‑engagement team.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Lead monthly financial close for all LATAM legal entities.
    • Manage multiple feeds, business lines, and departments with accurate revenue and cost accruals.
    • Support P&L owners in validating financial performance.
    • Identify and communicate risks & opportunities for monthly & quarterly results.
    • Ensure payroll processes operate smoothly with ledgers reconciliation.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Lead regional accounting operations across US, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama.
    • Drive process improvements and manage third‑party partners.
    • Maintain internal controls, documentation, and compliance with statutory and tax requirements.
    • Act as liaison with Corporate Tax, Legal, auditors, and local authorities.
    • Stay up to date with local standards and advise leadership.
    • Oversee accounts payable, vendor management, AR, cash management, and revenue integrity.
    • Provide operational support across payments, invoicing, payroll, procurement, commissions, and T&E compliance.
  • Transformation
    • Lead SAP S/4

      HANA implementation across LATAM.
    • Recommend process changes and automation.
    • Drive continuous improvements and innovations.
    • Lead projects to enhance and automate internal controls.
    • Create accurate project plans with milestones and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting with postgraduate qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience in US GAAP, ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Big‑4 experience and managerial/leadership role.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish;
    Portuguese a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in multi‑currency and multi‑statutory environments.
  • High standard for accuracy and control.
  • Process improvement mindset and adaptability.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
