Job Responsibilities Business Growth and Reputation
  • Serve as the primary interface with external auditors for interim and year‑end testing procedures and deliverables for both U.S. and Latin American schools.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Group finance teams.
  • Drive best‑practice finance and accounting initiatives for the region.
  • Manage clustered shared services, achieving SLA targets for general accounting, purchasing and receivable processes.
  • Adapt accounting policies, procedures and financial reporting systems to meet evolving business needs.
Strategic and Organisational Leadership
  • Lead the region’s reporting deliverables.
  • Continuously improve the financial close process, reducing manual and inefficient activities.
  • Strengthen internal controls to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Regional HR, IT and other teams to align financial requirements.
  • Contribute to business strategy and planning regarding potential contracts and transactions.
Operational Expertise and Resource Management
  • Review month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end accounts, ensuring timely compliance with Nord Anglia policies.
  • Interpret, review and approve monthly journals.
  • Manage the external audit cycle, ensuring audit readiness and successful completion.
  • Identify and explain significant balance‑sheet movements and variances.
  • Ensure all reporting deliverables are accurate, timely and correctly formatted.
  • Lead new‑school accounting compliance with Group policies.
  • Handle accounting and filing for regional holding or dormant companies.
  • Lead opening balance‑sheet work for new acquisitions.
Financial Control & Accounting
  • Collaborate with Group FC to align, enhance and standardise financial reports and processes.
  • Promote best‑practice processes across the region.
  • Manage the Design Reference Group of Finance System experts.
  • Interpret financial transactions and provide IFRS‑compliant accounting analysis.
  • Regularly review the effectiveness of financial and compliance controls.
  • Partner with the Group Controls Officer to implement internal controls.
  • Oversee clustering and shared services with clear SLA targets.
  • Provide financial control support to school finance teams.
  • Support the Regional Financial Director.
Developing Talent
  • Daily management of the financial accounting team.
  • Recruit, develop and evaluate the finance reporting and shared‑services staff.
  • Maximise the finance function’s effectiveness while building for the future.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues across and beyond the finance function.
Qualifications
  • Degree in finance, accounting or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Professional accounting qualification (Qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant).
  • Five or more years of post‑qualified experience in industry.
  • Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Risk identification, process improvement and internal controls development experience.
  • Experience with financial systems (Navision, Hyperion, HFM, One Stream).
  • Background in asset‑light, service‑based or high‑growth/start‑up environments (≥2 years).
  • Experience working in a regional organisation across multiple time‑zones and cross‑border transactions.
  • Strong analytical, Excel and English communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge and influence management and to think creatively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for interaction at all levels.
