EDGLRD is looking for a Cinematic Director specializing in Unreal Engine to lead the creation of high‑end real‑time cinematic and narrative visual sequences. This role blends filmmaking, real‑time rendering, and creative direction to produce visually striking cinematic experiences.

You will work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to bring scenes to life using Unreal Engine, guiding everything from shot design and camera language to lighting, pacing, and final cinematic polish.

In‑office role based in Miami Beach

What You’ll Do
  • Direct and design cinematic sequences in Unreal Engine
  • Develop visual storytelling, shot composition, and camera language for real‑time scenes
  • Work with artists, animators, and technical teams to execute cinematic vision
  • Build and refine sequences using Sequencer
  • Guide lighting, staging, and performance timing for narrative impact
  • Review and iterate on shots to ensure film‑quality visuals and pacing
  • Collaborate with creative leadership on storytelling and visual style
  • Help define cinematic pipelines and workflows for real‑time production
Qualifications
  • Strong experience directing or creating cinema tics in Unreal Engine
  • Deep understanding of camera language, editing, and cinematic storytelling
  • Experience using Unreal Sequencer
  • Knowledge of real‑time lighting, rendering, and scene composition
  • Ability to collaborate across creative and technical teams
  • Strong eye for visual quality, timing, and emotional pacing
Nice to Have
  • Background in film directing, previs, virtual production, or game cinema tics
  • Experience with Meta Humans or character‑driven sequences
  • Understanding of motion capture workflows
  • Experience with virtual cameras or real‑time filmmaking tools
