** Overview:*
* The sports department at CBS News Miami (WFOR-TV) is a high-energy team led by veteran anchors like Mike Cugno and Samantha Rivera. Also, Kim Bokamper and Steve Goldstein, who also serve as the TV voice of the Miami Dolphins. They provide extensive, "hyperlocal" coverage of South Floridas major franchises, including the Dolphins, Heat, Panthers, Marlins, and Inter Miami, as well as the University of Miami Hurricanes.
The department is known for its immersive reporting on championship moments and its integration with the broader CBS Sports network for major national events.

** Friday - Tuesday 2:30pm

* Key Responsibilities:

* A sports intern at CBS Miami (WFOR-TV) plays a vital role in the daily production of local sportscasts, primarily focusing on logging games and archiving the department's media library. Interns gain hands-on technical experience by editing highlights and player interviews, specifically for major franchises like the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Heat. In the field, they assist producers and talent with on-site interviews and "field producing," which helps ensure segments run smoothly during live event coverage.
They are also responsible for screening digital content and preparing "one-plays" for distribution across various CBS Sports digital platforms. Overall, the position is an immersive, fast-paced role that requires working late-night or weekend shifts to align with the South Florida sports schedule.

You should have a comprehensive understanding of South Floridas major teams: the Dolphins (NFL), Heat (NBA), Panthers (NHL), Marlins (MLB), and Inter Miami CF (MLS).
+ Collegiate Context:
Deep knowledge of University of Miami (Hurricanes) athletics, particularly football and basketball, is a major asset as they receive heavy local coverage.
+ Terminology & Rules:
To accurately label footage for editors and anchors, you must understand the nuances of various sports (e.g., distinguishing between a ""pick-six"" and a ""fumble recovery"")"
** Eligibility:*
* + Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Masters students in the fall of 2026. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
+ You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
+ Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program.
Note:
Paramount does not provide financial relocation support or housing stipends.
+ Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
+ Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis.
+ Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.
