this position will be very beneficial to the agency since it will contribute to overseeing and ensure the data collection processes and highway data meet the requirements and standards of the central office quality assurance review (qar) and district quality evaluation (dqe) for transportation statistics. It will provide technical engineering assistance and coordinate with fdot central office, other fdot offices, local government agencies, and consultants to perform quality control measures to ensure the traffic characteristic inventory (rci) and roadway characteristics inventory (rci) data meet fdot timeliness and accuracy standards.

annual salary range:

$57,238.92 - $74,073.89

a competitive area differential (cad) additive in the amount of $1,976.00 will be added to the annual salary.

your specific responsibilities:

collects, processes and analyses traffic and highway data required by the department’s policies and procedures for traffic characteristics inventory (tci) / roadway characteristics inventory (rci) programs. Reviews and updates the tci/rci database systems, develops seasonal/axle factors, generates straight line diagram (sld), etc. Supports the production of high quality digital and hardcopy maps for projects and as requested. Provides technical engineering assistance with mapping in support of geographic information system (gis) applications.

Manages gis mapping and supports office gis efforts and coordinates with other district gis initiatives.
