Project Estimating and Cost Manager

Supports new project development sales by owning cost estimates and costing inputs during the sales and pre‑award phase. The role sits within Project Controls and partners closely with Sales and Sales Engineering, while coordinating with Procurement to ensure supplier pricing and market assumptions are reflected in project costs model. This position focuses on building reliable cost estimates, project cash models, maintaining costing and pricing tools and templates, and supporting informed commercial decision‑making.

• Develop a standardized tool for cost estimates and pricing aligned with project standard WBS structure and ERP system.
• Build order intake and opportunity dashboards.
• Support continuous improvement on costing processes.
• Prepare and maintain cost estimates for new project opportunities, make changes such as design and scope evolve and document assumptions and exclusions.
• Prepare project cash models using customer and supplier payment terms.
• Coordinate with sales and sales engineering to translate technical scope into cost impacts.
• Support proposal development by providing multiple scenarios and scenario comparisons.
• Interface with Procurement to validate supplier pricing and delivery schedules, including logistics and supply constraints in the estimates.
• Highlight cost related risks as supplier input evolve.
• Support continuous improvement on data quality.
• Build models that calculate total product costs, pricing, and portfolio management and reporting.
• Provide guidance on project pricing throughout the negotiation process.
• Lead strategic meetings with department executives as keystone on all costing and pricing.
• Establish relationships with all strategic departments to understand new product designs and build total cost profile.
