hiring salary range: $2,276.41 - $2,945.94/biweekly range / $59,186.70 – $76,594.56 /annual range

the work you will do

fms/ams specialist iii, district six traffic operations

this position will develop and manage contracts and agreements that support traffic operations. They will review signal operating plans development. They will assist with maintenance and operations performance reports. Candidates will participate in meetings, committees, or task teams, representing traffic operations interests. Candidates will assist with budgets; interact with construction engineering inspection (cei), contractors, or vendors. They will oversee maintenance of field devices.

They will ensure the accuracy of their inventory.

annual salary range

$ 59,186.70 – $76,594.56

a competitive area differential (cad) additive in the amount of $1,976.00 will be added to the annual salary.

your specific responsibilities

develops and manages contractual services contracts, work program projects, and other types of agreements (maintenance and operations) that support traffic operations. This includes project management responsibilities associated with procuring contracts; issuing task work orders; reviewing contract deliverables; reviewing and processing invoices; coordinating department personnel and other agencies associated with work under the contract; preparing contract correspondence; maintaining project files; and actively participating in project meetings.

Participates on contract-related technical review committees (trcs).

performs engineering review and analysis for freeway and/or arterial management that includes signal operating plan development. Assists in development of freeway management system (fms)/arterial management system (ams) network maintenance and operations performance reports.

participates in meetings, on committees, task teams, and other groups with internal and external customers to represent traffic operations interests. Provides useful commentary and review of work products, as well as developing correspondence and follow‑up contact as needed.
