** Security Clearance:
** None/Not Required We have an exciting opportunity for a Flammability Certification Engineer.  This position is an individual contributor role that will report to the Senior Manager, Flammability Certification to ensure our products support our customer's needs.  If you have the following experience, please apply to be part of our team!
** What You Will Do**:
* Performs collaborative engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project.
* Represents the Flammability Certification team in internal technical design reviews.
* Compiles FAA certification documentation for submission to commercial aircraft OEM's and regulatory agencies.
* Responsible for the review and approval of design changes from a certification perspective.
* Performs new design analysis and material recommendations based on data.
* Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians.
* Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
* Participates in defining of engineering approaches and in planning/scheduling work.
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience
** or
* * an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 1 years of experience
** or
* * in absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience.
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Familiarity with standard aviation materials.
* Prior working experience in the aerospace industry, specifically with aircraft interiors.
* Prior experience reviewing and approving drawings.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare and give presentations.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams.
* Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite applications and engineering related software programs.
