Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Project Architect with federal project experience to support a growing portfolio of DoD and civilian federal facilities. This role is well‑suited for an architect who is detail‑driven, comfortable navigating federal standards, and experienced delivering projects that must perform under strict regulatory and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities Federal Project Delivery- Lead architectural projects from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with federal standards and agency requirements.
- Develop and coordinate technical construction documents suitable for federal review and execution.
- Apply advanced understanding of life‑safety, security, durability, and resiliency standards.
- Coordinate closely with structural, civil, MEP, and infrastructure teams.
- Support projects involving infrastructure, utilities, stormwater, and site coordination.
- Navigate federal permitting, agency review processes, and technical standards.
- Participate in QA/QC processes to meet federal delivery expectations.
- Conduct site visits and field observations.
- Respond to RFIs and submittals in accordance with federal protocols.
- Assist in resolving technical and coordination issues during construction.
- Mentor junior staff and support technical knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate across offices and disciplines within an integrated A/E/S framework.

- Facilities supporting fuels, transportation, or mission operations
- Licensed Architect (RA)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of professional architectural experience
- Demonstrated experience on federal or DoD projects
- Strong construction documentation and technical coordination skills
- Proficiency in Revit
- Ability to interpret and apply federal design standards and regulations
- Experience with DoD or civilian federal agencies
- Exposure to secure or mission‑critical facilities
- Familiarity with sustainability or federal performance standards
- Experience working in multidisciplinary, infrastructure‑heavy environments
