Position Summary
The Fire Sprinkler Designer is responsible for creating detailed fire sprinkler system designs that comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and project specifications. The role involves preparing layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material lists to ensure efficient and compliant fire protection solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop fire sprinkler system designs using CAD software and design tools.
- Prepare detailed layout drawings, riser diagrams, and material lists for projects.
- Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system performance meets NFPA and local code requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Review project specifications and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Assist in resolving design-related issues during installation and commissioning phases.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update designs as required by project changes.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering, or related field.
- Experience in fire sprinkler design and familiarity with NFPA standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations and fire protection principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Technical proficiency in fire sprinkler design software.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations.
