A growing organization in the renewable energy and construction sector is seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to support large-scale solar and clean-energy projects.
Position OverviewThe Procurement Manager will oversee purchasing, supplier management, and contract negotiations for materials, equipment, and services used in solar and renewable-energy construction projects. This role requires strong knowledge of supply chains, engineering coordination, and project-based procurement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage procurement strategies for construction and engineering materials used in solar and renewable-energy projects.
- Source, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and service providers.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules to support project deadlines and budgets.
- Monitor supply chain trends, lead times, and risks affecting construction and renewable-energy materials.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to ensure alignment with project specifications.
- Track supplier performance and implement cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement standards, regulations, and sustainability goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of procurement experience in the solar energy industry
- Experience supporting solar or renewable energy projects is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, electrical components, and renewable-energy equipment (solar panels, inverters, racking, batteries, etc.).
- Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing multiple suppliers.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
