Structural Engineer (PE) – Developer / Design-Build | Residential & Commercial | Florida
We are looking for a highly skilled Structural Engineer (PE) to join our vertically integrated development and construction team. This role serves as the structural authority from pre‑construction through project delivery, directly supporting leadership in managing risk, budgets, constructability, and long‑term asset performance.
What You’ll Do- Lead structural design strategy from feasibility through Construction Documents.
- Ensure all systems are code‑compliant, efficient, buildable, and cost‑conscious.
- Drive early value engineering to protect budgets and schedules.
- Coordinate closely with Architecture, MEP, Civil, and Geotechnical consultants.
- Serve as the in‑house structural authority during construction - review RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Provide field clarifications and inspection support.
- Conduct site visits and resolve structural issues proactively.
- Review and evaluate structural change orders and claims.
- Enforce QA/QC standards to minimize defects and liability exposure.
- Advise development and construction leadership on budget and schedule impacts, and system selection and feasibility.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 5+ years of experience in structural design and construction administration.
- Experience with residential, multifamily, and mixed‑use developments.
- Strong knowledge of Florida Building Codes (Miami / Miami‑Dade preferred).
- Proven experience reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders.
- Strong constructability and cost‑driven design mindset.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Direct exposure to ownership and leadership.
- High‑impact role influencing development feasibility and outcomes.
- Long‑term growth within a design‑build development platform.
