Water​/Wastewater Process Engineer

Job Summary

At Jacobs, we challenge what is accepted to shape innovative solutions for tomorrow. We are seeking a highly motivated, client‑focused Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to work in our Miami or Fort Lauderdale, FL office, supporting impactful projects across the region.

$69,500.00/yr – $91,125.00/yr

• Assist senior engineers on larger, complex projects, including task management.
• Perform a wide variety of routine assignments that are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
• Prepare planning documents, reports, studies, and perform calculations.
• Prepare models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, and drawings, and perform calculations in support of engineering activities.
• Effectively work with project teams with diverse technical skill sets and geographic locations.
• Maintain project deadlines and contribute to strong client relationships.

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with multi‑disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects.

• Professional Engineer License in Florida or ability to gain reciprocity.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with treatment systems and process automation.
