Position OverviewThe Program Manager, New Homes, oversees solar energy projects for single-family home builder clients of Terra Energy and their residential communities. This role ensures successful design, permitting, installation, interconnection, activation, and ongoing customer satisfaction. As a key contributor, the Program Manager drives community solar adoption, supports marketing and sales initiatives, and coordinates across teams to deliver innovative solar solutions tailored to home builder needs.
Additionally, this position takes the lead in establishing company-wide standard operating procedures (SOPs) for future home builder clients and residential communities, ensuring scalable and repeatable success.
- Maximize solar adoption rates and deliver exceptional homeowner experiences.
- Design and implement solar programs customized for homebuilders and buyers.
- Promptly address activation or system performance issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Lead all phases of solar projects, including design, permitting, installation, interconnection, and activation.
- Manage community launches while ensuring compliance with energy codes and regulations.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and deliverables to achieve project success.
- Serve as the primary liaison for homebuilders, guiding them through the solar program implementation process.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, installation, and customer service.
- Streamline processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Promote the solar program's benefits to home builders and buyers through marketing initiatives.
- Assist in creating customized proposals and presentations for clients.
- Use feedback from clients and homeowners to refine solar offerings and processes.
- Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
- Report program performance metrics and risks to leadership.
- 5+ years in project or program management or client-facing roles in energy, construction, or related industries.
- Proven track record in managing design, permitting, and installation projects.
- Familiarity with energy solutions or sustainability initiatives is preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with project management and energy-related software tools.
- Ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
