Job Summary

Supports FIU's compensation program designed to attract and retain a talented workforce, and reward and retain staff for their contributions to the university. Develops working relationships with university business units and community resources to facilitate compensation activities. Works in a team‑based collaborative environment to meet dynamic and changing customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Supports the implementation of compensation and position classification activities associated with the Compensation Administration Department and handles incoming calls.
  • Reviews fee for services requests, payment for temporary and student personnel, and additional compensation for staff, gathering data to ensure policy compliance and recommending actions to departments.
  • Participates in salary survey inquiries.
  • Works with the Assistant Director on system updates, testing, and maintenance.
  • Reviews and analyzes position description changes for postings, salary actions, updates, salary adjustments, and one‑time payments, providing recommendations to units on compensation actions.
  • Other special assignments as directed by the Assistant Director.
  • Maintains departmental and university‑wide organizational charts.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
