School Faculty - Elementary - St. Thomas the Apostle School

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School in Miami, Florida is accepting applications for a qualified Elementary Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year to begin in August. The applicant must be a dynamic and innovative educator with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, design instruction to motivate and engage all learners, and develop cross-curricular units. The candidate performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Salary will vary based on certification and experience.

• BS/BA degree in Education or Elementary Education or related field.
• Florida Department of Education Teaching certificate in grades K-5, temporary or professional required.
• Must be flexible in assessing needs and strategies and adapt appropriately in a ministerial environment.
• Demonstrate collaboration in a professional learning community to develop, implement and continuously improve the effectiveness of the curriculum and instruction for high student achievement.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar are required.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  PowerPoint a plus.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
