Physics Teacher

ESI is now hiring a High School Physics Teacher in the Miami, FL area to start in the  school year.

ESI is seeking a High School Physics Teacher who is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans that facilitate active learning, participating in all required school meetings, as well as communicating students' needs with parents/guardians.

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from a fully accredited college or university.
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidates must be familiar with and align with the classical liberal arts curriculum and philosophy
• Prior Teaching Experience Preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, climb, crawl, push a cart, or lift during the entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, including small packages and supplies.
• Ability to pass Level 2 background check.

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning around classical education principles.
• Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Review and dissect data to identify areas of student growth.
• Hold all members of our school community to high expectations in our collective pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness, grounded in timeless moral principles.
• Elevate classroom learning to develop students’ sense of wonder and a love of learning.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and develops a culture of excellence.
• Work cooperatively with instructional coaches to learn from feedback and improve the quality of instruction.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
• Provide appropriate feedback on work.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations.
• Prepare required reports on students and activities.
• Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings.
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Prepare classroom for class activities.
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
• Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
• Any other duties as assigned.
