Position Overview
Adjunct Faculty members teach courses to students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree - 6-12 Biology Education.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.
Responsibilities- Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
- Evaluates and advises students
- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Develops Curricula
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Master's degree in one of the Biological Sciences and a minimum of 9 graduate semester hours related to specific course(s) taught.
- All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
