Position Overview:

This Adjunct faculty member teaches English courses. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes. Start date for this Faculty position is scheduled on or before Spring Semester 2026.

• Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
• Evaluates and advises students
• Participates in departmental and College affairs
• Develops curricula
• Recruits students
• Serves on committees
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Master's degree in English from a regionally accredited institution; or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in English
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
